Sources at the Ministry of Finance said the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces did not amend any provisions of the 2011/2012 state budget, which was endorsed by the government recently.
In related news, Khaled Abdel Naby, a member of the Tax Authority’s technical department, asked Minister of Finance Samir Radwan to levy a tax on the government institutions’ private funds so as to offset the capital gains tax that was recently cancelled.
“This would enable the ministry to control those funds,” he said.
