Students at the 6th of October University of Technology have managed to manufacture the 1st portable spinning and weaving machine, under a university spinning and weaving equipment operation and maintenance program, the university revealed in a statement on Saturday.
The program is supervised by Dean of the Faculty of Industry and Energy Technology Mohamed Dirgham.
Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Ayman Ashour said that universities play an important role in transforming scientific and research outcomes into useful products for local markets.
Ashour also highlighted universities’ role in the advancement and entrenchment of local industry for a better economy and more competitive national industry.
Meanwhile, President of the 6th of October University Heba Salem stressed the State’s commitment to supporting students of technological universities, noting that the program is expected to play a major role in advancing national industry.
