Minister: Supply Ministry seeks official system for fava bean street vendors

The Supply and Internal Trade Ministry seeks to create an official system for fava bean street vendors, said the Minister Khaled Hanafy on Saturday.

Hanafy added during a meeting for Alexandria Economic and Social Development Council that the step aims to create projects that would provide job opportunities.

The country will not move forward as the unemployment problem has aggravated and reached the educated class in society, Hanafy mentioned.

Hanafy described field visits to markets and bakeries as "fruitful in order to learn how to reach optimal means to control prices."

The military commander of Alexandria northern region Major General Mohamed al-Zamalout said that the armed forces exert the maximum efforts to serve citizens in villages and poor areas.

"Serving citizens is our duty. Without construction and reconstruction, we will not be able to carry arms,"  Zamalout added while inspecting the development project of Ghait al-Enab slum area.
