Minister of Supply and Internal Trade Khalid Hanafi said the Egyptian government is currently working on a global trade and shopping area of the Gulf of Suez City, adding that the size of the city will be 16 million meters.
Hanafi added under the title "The economic future of Egypt through the eyes of businessmen".
This city will be similar to the nine largest centers of global shopping, he said, explaining that the city is a global logistics area and will provide hundreds of job opportunities.
Hanafi noted the development of the entire state plans do not come only in partnership with the private sector. The government is also working to address the problem of structural imbalances, he said, pointing out that the government now has the courage to enter mega-projects.
Hanafi said the Damietta New Port is promising and the government will establish the first hub for a specialized area for grains.
