Investment Minister Ashraf Salman said new free zones in Upper Egypt will be declared during the upcoming investment conference, which will target local and foreign investments.
Salman announced the news following a meeting with Prime Minister Ibrahim Mehleb where they discussed preparations for the September 11-12 conference. He also reviewed measures taken by the ministry to organize the conference.
Hurghada has been selected to host the conference, according to Salman. The city has halls in hotels to host the event and one hall can hold up to 200 participants. Three neighboring hotels will host the guests. Governors from ten provinces have been invited to assess the location allocated for the conference and make arrangements for the conference, as well as review investment opportunities for each province.
