Minister of Planning and Economic Development Hala al-Said asserted Friday the development plan is paying a greater attention to policies and spatial programs that aim to achieve an improvement in living standards and incomes among different regions and governorates in line with development efforts.
The minister said the value of government investments reached 11.6 billion Egyptian pounds in the current Fiscal Year 2023/2024 plan, allocated for the development of North and South Sinai governorates.
Said was reviewing various developmental programs in North and South Sinai governorates in the current Fiscal Year 2023/2024 on the occasion of the 6th of October War Victory anniversary Friday.
In a statement, the minister said the volume of government investments in the FY plan hit about 6.5 billion Egyptian pounds to develop North Sinai Governorate.
Egypt’s public treasury bore about 44.6% (2.9 billion Egyptian pounds), according to the minister.
