The President of Minia University, Essam Farhat announced that his university has been included in the Times Higher Education World Rankings of Young Universities 2024.
The Minia University is one of 28 Egyptian universities to be ranked among the top 1,171 universities worldwide in this category, falling within the 351-400 range.
Farhat hailed his university’s achievements in these rankings, emphasizing that reaching international university rankings are among Minia University’s top priorities.
These rankings serve as key indicators for advancing scientific research and its outcomes, he explained, which are essential for university development and addressing the needs of development and societal advancement in various sectors alongside achieving sustainable development goals.
He noted the university’s commitment to implementing its strategic plans aimed at developing the scientific research system and encouraging researchers to engage in international scientific publications, ensuring Minia University’s leadership and achieving a prestigious position locally and internationally.
The Times Higher Education World Rankings of Young Universities focuses on universities established within the past 50 years.
It is based on 18 performance indicators grouped into five main areas – research quality, teaching, research environment, international reputation, and industry.
