Military Spokesperson Ahmed Mohamed Ali said that the second field army personnel, supported by elements of military engineers and civil protection, defused a bomb on Friday that was planted on the side of Abu Taweela-Sheikh Zuwaid road, 3 km away from security ambush personnel.
He added that the bomb was specifically targeting the ambush personnel.
The troops were able to kill the extremists while monitoring security elements, Ali posted on Facebook on Saturday.
