A 4.1 magnitude earthquake hit south west of Sharm el-Sheikh at 9:12 am Saturday morning, the Egyptian National Seismic Network said.
Hatem Ouda, the head of the National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics, said the earthquake’s epicenter is located 25
kilometers south west of Sharm el-Sheikh. He added that only dwellers of upper floors felt the earthquake.
There were no reports of losses or damages, he added.
Ouda said that seismic activity is intense in the Gulf of Aqaba and the Red Sea.
