Metro traffic at Saad Zaghloul stop has resumed after a loud blast was heard, leading to panic among commuters and slight injuries as a result of stampeding away from the station.
Metro workers called on passengers over the intercom to stay calm and proceed with their normal commute.
An official at the stop blamed the blast on an electrical shortage, which lead to the blast.
