Meteorologists warn of heat wave until end of July

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority warned of an increase in weather temperatures, until the end of July.

The Authority expects very hot, humid weather over Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, South Sinai and the south of the country, and hot humid weather on the northern coasts.

Meteorologists attributed the extreme heat wave to a climatic phenomenon, where the center and south of the country will be affected by the extension of the Sudan depression, as the depression deepens in the areas of southern Upper Egypt in particular, until the end of July 2022.

Humidity levels are expected to rise to between 70 percent and 85 percent.

Visibility decreases in the morning due to fog in the north of the country.

Meteorologists continue to advise citizens, especially the elderly, not to be directly exposed to the sun, especially during peak hours (from 1 pm to 5 pm), to wear loose cotton clothes, drink water and cold drinks, and avoid sitting in poorly ventilated places.
