Meteorologists anticipate cold weather across Egypt and heavy rain and thunderstorms in Cairo and northern Upper Egypt on Friday, with rain also predicted along Egypt’s northern coasts and parts of Lower Egypt.
Temperatures are expected to remain at or below 17C in Cairo, Alexandria, Qena, Luxor, and Aswan.
Meanwhile, winds will be mostly northwestern and active in most parts of the country, stirring up sand and dust in open areas and possibly disrupting maritime navigation in the Mediterranean Sea and the Red Sea.
Frost will also cover farmland in Central Sinai and Northern Upper Egypt overnight.
Waves in the Mediterranean Sea and the Red Sea will be moderate, ranging between two and 2.5 meters in height, with northeastern to northwestern surface winds on both seas.
