Prime Minister Ibrahim Mehleb said power outages will be resolved in 45 days when new power stations will start adding 1,880 MW to the service.
During a visit to Qena on Sunday, the prime minister also said the supply police is responsible for controlling the markets and fighting manipulations.
He added that unemployment would also be solved by government projects for young people through the social fund and other investment resources.
Meanwhile, the Petroleum Ministry denied that the government intends to raise fuel prices again in January and called on the media to be careful in its reporting.
