Media debunks reports that Qatar refuses to receive German team’s plane over LGBT flag

Social media has been abuzz with reports that Qatar refused to receive the German team’s plane participating in the World Cup for this season 2022 because it bears the rainbow logo.

According to the rumors, the German national team’s plane returned to the airport of the Sultanate of Oman, and then replaced it with another plane that does not bear this rainbow logo on it.

Media sources debunked the reports, explaining that the delegation of the German national team successfully arrived last Thursday to the State of Qatar in order to participate in FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

The German national team played a friendly match against Oman in Muscat on Wednesday and won it 1-0. Germany is in Group E along with Costa Rica, Spain and Japan.
