Security forces raided the house of Muslim Brotherhood leading member Mohsen Abu Zaid in Beni Suef and arrested him.

Abu Zaid is responsible for organizing Brotherhood protests around Egypt. He was arrested along with a printer, banners, posters and flyers against the army or depicting the Rabea al-Adaweya symbol.

Since the ouster of President Mohamed Morsy by security forces on 3 July, Muslim Brotherhood members and others supporting Morsy have held massive protests around the country. The widespread protests have often led to violent clashes between Morsy's supporters and opponents.
