The film, which garnered almost LE1.5 in three days, shows a famous Islamic preacher who faces pressures that urge him to change his principles and makes religious edicts that conform to his personal likes.
Meanwhile, the Youm lel Setat movie gained LE60,000 only since Wednesday, declining in revenues since the lunch of Mawlana to reach a total revenue figure of LE1,045,000. The movie is produced by actress Elham Shahin and starrs Nelly Karim, Nahed al-Sebai, Hala Sedqy and Shaimaa Seif; it is written by Hanaa Attiya and directed by Kamla Abu Zekry.
However, Al-Barr Al-Tany has been removed from cinemas due to the weak revenues.
As for Manteqa Mahzoura, starring Yasmine Omar, Mohamed Fekry and Gehad Sultan; and directed by Mohamed Fekry; it only gained LE5,000 since January 4, making its total revenues LE680,000.
It is expected to be replaced by the beginning of the mid-year holiday season, on January 18th.
The movies that started in the summer and still competing are expected to be removed, including the flic Laff w Dawaran, starring Ahmed Helmy and Donia Samir Ghanem. The movie racked in LE66,000 since January 4, making its total revenues LE42 million.
Kalb Balady, starring Ahmed Fahmy and Akram Hosny; and directed by Moataz al-Touny; made LE7,200 since Wednesday, adding up to a total revenue of LE16.6 million.
