Despite extreme drama of the smoky eye look, it is very popular and has made a huge comeback in the past couple years. Make sure you choose the right occasion for this look, but don’t be afraid to play around with dark colors. Here is an easy way to achieve the ultimate smoky eyes.
1. Create the base for your eye make-up by applying a generous layer of nude or beige color to unify the skin tone.
2. Paint the deeper part of your eyelid with a white or off-white eye shadow to smooth out the area around your eyes and widen the space between your eye and eyebrow.
3. Draw a line along your upper lash line with liquid eyeliner or kohl pencil and smudge it upward using a smudger or a cotton bud. Do the same with your lower lash line, but don’t smudge too much
4. When you are satisfied with the level of smokiness, accentuate the look with a little dark grey or black eye shadow.
5. Apply two or three coats of mascara… and you are done.
