Masked gunmen in Sharqiya rob jewelry store

Masked gunmen broke into a jewelry store in Suffiya village in Shariqya Governorate Monday, stealing an estimated LE2 million worth of jewelry.

Sharqiya’s security chief received a report about five masked gunmen, who forcibly entered the jewelry store, owned by Abdel Rahim Salam, and stole its contents before escaping.

Witnesses said the gunmen threatened Salam with weapons. Two of them stood by the door until the rest finished, after which the group escaped in a truck.

A police report was filed and the prosecution was notified.
