Interim President Adly Mansour headed on Monday to the Greek capital, Athens, accompanied by a ministerial delegation that also includes Foreign Minister Nabil Fahmy.
Mansour is scheduled to hold talks with Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras, followed by individual talks with Greek President Karolos Papoulias at the presidential palace.
They will then hold a joint press conference followed by a luncheon.
This is Mansour's first visit abroad after the ratification of the new constitution.
The visit comes after Greece started its presidency of the European Union this month and until mid 2014.
The visit aims at strengthening and developing bilateral relations between Athens and Cairo.
