The Ministry Manpower and Immigration seeks to apply a minimum wage rate of LE2,000 for private sector workers, Manpower Minister, Mohamed Saafan, said in an interview Saturday on Extra News channel.
Production and profit rates increase when the worker is financially satisfied, Saafan explained.
There is a low demand by young people on private sector jobs, Shorouk news website quoted Saafan as saying, adding he plans to train young people so they will join the private sector.
He pointed out that the Ministry concerts efforts to provide job opportunities for young people inside and outside of Egypt.
“We recently provided 54 work contracts for Egyptians in Gulf countries in less than a week,” he mentioned.
