The 26 March Stadium in Mali, which hosted a football match between the Egyptian Ahly Club and Stade Malien in the first round of the Orange CAF Champions League, witnessed a controversial incident after Malian fans raised the Israeli flag when their team beat Ahly one to zero.
Ahly lost on Sunday in a one-sided game that it had fully dominated, but wasted plenty of opportunities, until the other team scored a sudden goal in the final minutes of the match.
The club's website said that bad weather conditions prevented the team from flying to Tunis, and that they would spend the night in Bamako. The homecoming match is scheduled for 13 May in Cairo.
Ahly must win by more than one goal in order to qualify for the quarter-finals.
