Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly followed up on efforts of the cabinet’s higher medical committee in November.
Madbouly reviewed on Sunday 3/12/2023 a detailed report by the committee, lauding its role in co-operation and coordination with other concerned institutions to present a number of programs and services that aimed at expanding the range of beneficiaries.
The report was presented by Dr Hossam al-Masry, head of the committee and medical adviser to the prime minister.
The committee was established in 2016 to decide on treatment at state expense decisions, said the committee head.
In November, the committee responded to treating 242 cases seeking emergency help through newspapers, news sites and social networking sites, according to al-Masry.
He added that the committee took necessary measures for 90 cases of oncology and gamma knife, and provided medications for 29 cases.
