Finance Minister Mohamed Maait stressed the importance of enhancing contacts with the business community to lure local and foreign investments with the objective of expanding the customs and tax services that give incentives to investors as part of the state’s keenness on easing any hardships facing investments.
A statement released on Friday by the Ministry of Finance said the minister reviewed the efforts exerted by the General Administration of Investor Services to remove any hardships facing the business community especially regarding the customs and tax systems, in addition to opening the gate for involving the private sector to boost the national economy and increase available job opportunities.
The minister pointed out to the necessity of continuing efforts of coordination and cooperation with the foreign embassies in Cairo especially those which have investments in Egypt, in addition to contacts with the chambers of commerce, the Federation of Egyptian Industries (FEI) and export councils to be influential bodies for directly contacting with investors and meet their needs.
