Luxor Egyptian and European Film Festival, to be held 24-31 January 2015, will announce the timetable for its events on 11 January, the festival foreign press spokesperson Hassan Amin said on Sunday.
Details of the festival’s events are to be declared at 6:00 pm at the Supreme Council of Culture at the Cairo Opera House.
“The aim of the Luxor Egyptian and European Film Festival is to foster knowledge and promote dissemination in Egypt of high quality cinematographic and audiovisual works directed by Egyptian and European filmmakers, and to develop Egyptian-European dialogue in the field of cinema,” said Amin’s statement on the festival organized by the Noun Foundation for Culture and Arts.
According to the statement, the festival will screen short and feature films produced during 2014, as well as tributes to Egyptian and European stars.
