London tops a new list ranking the top destinations in Europe which, in addition to reams of hard statistics and figures, also took into account reviews and ratings from social media sites such as Yelp and TripAdvisor.
In the 2015 European Union Place Equity Index, prepared by Vancouver-based firm Resonance Consultancy, London edged out Paris to take the top spot after analysts measured destinations across six categories: a city's perceived natural and urban environment; attractions; arts and culture; people; employment; and online approval ratings from visitors.
Analysts looked at 104 cities within the EU with populations of more than 300,000.

9. Frankfurt
