The Transport Ministry announced that the light electric train (LRT) has begun operating in its first and second phases, opened and operated from Adly Mansour Central Interchange Station to the Arts and Culture Station.
The ministry on Friday confirmed in a statement that the light electric train (LRT) has been connected to the neighboring urban communities (al-Mostaqbal, al-Shorouk, Badr, Heliopolis, and 10th of Ramadan) with minibuses bearing the same logo as the train.
Light rail stations were equipped with private parking spaces without any fees to attract private car owners to use public transportation.
As part of internal smart transportation plan in the New Administrative Capital, the ministry added that a number of stations have been linked to the government district.
