Scores of pro-Qadhafi Libyans protested in Mostafa Mahmoud Square in Mohandessin near Qatar's embassy in Cairo.
The Libyan protesters held leader Muammar Qadhafi's images and raised banners that read "People want the colonel to stay."
The group held an Israeli flag bearing the logo of the Qatar-based news channel Al Jazeera and chanted slogans against the channel and Qatar.
They accused Al Jazeera of being an Israeli agent, and they attacked Qatar's Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani.
Al Jazeera is at odds with Qadhafi's regime due to their coverage of the Libyan revolution. Anti-Qadhafi Libyans in Cairo reported that Qadhafi sent an envoy to Emir Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani earlier this month, urging him to downplay Al Jazeera's coverage of the events.
