Al-Salloum Military Hospital admitted on Thursday night Colonel Abdul Salam Atiyya Musa, 51, a Libyan pilot. The colonel had jumped from his plane before it crashed and burned after refusing to obey an order to bomb civilians in the Eastern cities of Libya.
A medical examination revealed that the Libyan pilot broke his right leg and fractured his vertebrae, as a result of using the parachute to jump off his plane. Libyan protesters transported him to the Egyptian-Libyan border, where an Egyptian ambulance immediately transported him to Salloum.
According to a medical source, the colonel is currently undergoing tests and x-rays.
