A delegation from Libya's National Transitional Council (NTC) arrived in Cairo on Thursday, headed by Defense Minister Mansour al-Degheidy and Electricity Minister Ouda Breg Bashir.
The Libyan council had submitted an official request to the Egyptian government asking for the Egypt-based assets of Libya's beleaguered leader Muammar Qadhafi and his sons to be frozen.
The NTC says it has not yet received a response from the Egyptian government, slamming its delay as “unjustifiable.”
Earlier this week, a delegation of officials loyal to Qadhafi arrived in Cairo, seeking to sell Libyan assets.
