The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) expects very hot and humid weather on Monday during the day in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, South Sinai, and the southern parts of the country, and hot weather on the northern coast.
At night, the weather will be moderate across most parts of the country.
The EMA ruled out the possibility of the Libyan storm reaching Cairo, explaining that the latest satellite images indicate that the sandstorms blowing across eastern Libya may affect limited areas of Egypt’s western borders over time.
Winds will be active intermittently in areas of the northern coast, Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, and northern Upper Egypt. The Mediterranean Sea will be rough, with waves ranging from three to four meters high, and northwesterly winds.
Monday’s temperatures:
- Matrouh: 30C
- Alexandria: 31C
- Cairo, Hurghada: 37C
- Sharm El-Sheikh: 38C
- Luxor and Aswan: 42C
