At least eight people were killed in a microbus accident on Wednesday, a security source from Alexandria security department said.
Ambulances transferred the injured to a local hospital, the source told Al-Masry Al-Youm, adding that the death toll may rise.
According to eyewitnesses, a taxi rear-ended the microbus, causing it to fall from above Al-Awayed bridge.
The incident is now under investigation.
