At least six people were killed and dozens were injured Thursday in a crash on Assiut-Cairo highway, according to a medical source.
Fayoum ambulance facility director Magdy Abdel Rahman said more than 16 cars collieded on Assiut-Cairo highway Thursday morning due to heavy fog. He added that ambulances transferred six dead bodies and dozens of injured.
Eyewitnesses said the security forces closed the road and confusion prevailed following the incident.
