Egyptian food exports to the Russian market have reached about LE 52 million during the first seven months of the current year, said Alaa al-Bahy, head of the Food Export Council (FEC).
A group of Egyptian companies are participating in the largest food and agricultural crops exhibition in Moscowfor four days, beginning next Monday.
They are promising opportunities to increase Egyptian exports to the Russian market in the coming period, he added. The FEC currently promotes the increase of exports food to foreign markets through organizing and the participation of Egyptian companies in international food fairs, and sending promotion delegations.
The Russian market is one of the most important for Egyptian food exports, especially with tight commercial relations shared between Egypt and Russia for many years, in addition to the high value of food imported into Russia from various countries around the world.
