Cairo International Airport witnessed a high density of travelers on Thursday with long waiting lines seen outside departure terminals.
Security patrols were deployed to make sure no cars were given entry to the garage next to the landing strip allocated for presidential flights.
On Wednesday, transport and civil aviation delegations from the UK and Russia continued tours at the airport to evaluate the feasibility of security measures adopted before resuming flights to Egypt. Flights have been suspended since the downing of a Russian passenger jet in Sharm el-Sheikh last October, which was claimed by Islamic State affiliates in Sinai.
