Egypt’s Minister of Manpower and Immigration Mohamed Safaan said that January 25 is a fully paid vacation day for private sector workers on occasion of January 25 Revolution anniversary.
In a statement on Wednesday, Safaan said that business owners may make an employee work during this day, but would in that case have to pay double the amount the employee is usually remunerated.
The ministry said that it has informed all its departments across the country to follow the decision in all workplaces and companies.
