Jama'a al-Islamiya criticized Tuesday the Muslim Brotherhood, saying that the administration was not working in favor of the homeland. The group also warned the opposition against resorting to violence during the protests and marches on 25 January.
“The regime does not work seriously for the interests of the homeland,” said leading member Safwat Abdel Ghany, stressing that so far the Brotherhood’s Renaissance Project have had no economic effect.
At a Jama’a Islamiya rally “How to celebrate the revolution?” Abdel Ghany said that without a minimum wage, the conditions for many people were getting more difficult.
He warned the Muslim Brotherhood against the anger of people.
“All we have seen is the regime looking to secure foreign loans; we have not seen projects or investment on the ground,” Abdel Ghany said.
The group's media spokesperson Khaled al-Sherif warned the liberal forces against resorting to violence on the anniversary of the revolution.
Sherif warned that chaos would lead to the return of the former regime and its injustices, adding that the Egyptian people will stick to the legitimacy of the ballot box.
