Israel raises alert level and reinforces military presence throughout the country

The Israeli occupation army has announced an elevation of the alert level throughout Israel, just days before the start of the Jewish Passover holiday.

The declaration of the alert status in Israel follows a situation assessment conducted by Chief of the General Staff Eyal Zamir.

Military presence is also slated to be reinforced across various parts of Israel, according to Sky News.

The Jewish Passover, one of the most important holidays in Judaism, begins this year on the evening of  Saturday April 12th, and concludes on Sunday, April 20th.

Zamir emphasized the importance of maintaining “readiness and vigilance” and further strengthening security measures.
