Irrigation Minister Hani Sewilam lauded deeply-rooted relations binding Egypt with Tanzania, saying Egypt has always played a pioneering role to boost cooperation among Nile-basin states.
During his meeting with Tanzanian Ambassador to Egypt Richard Makanzo, the minister called on the Tanzanian side to take part in the Action on Water Adaptation and Resilience (AWARe), saying this initiative provides necessary funds for carrying out adaptation projects in the water domains.
Talks tackled the projects that were carried out under the memo of understanding signed between the countries, including digging 30 undergrounded water wells.
The diplomat reiterated keenness on enhancing cooperation with Egypt in all domains.
