President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi received a phone call from Prime Minister of Iraq Muhammad Shia’ Al Sudani, who congratulated him on his re-election for a new term in office.
Iraq is keen to continue strengthening the distinguished relations between the two countries, said Al Sudani.
The two countries’ relationship has witnessed a great development in recent years, for the good of their peoples in particular, and the Arab world at large, he added.
Sisi stressed Egypt’s keenness on continuously consulting with Iraq on all bilateral and regional issues, praising their strong historical bonds, according to presidential spokesman Ahmad Fahmi.
