The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday announced the resumption of flights between Iran and Saudi Arabia.
Deputy Foreign Minister and Foreign Ministry Persian Gulf director AliReza Enayati said that based on the air transport agreement, it was agreed to resume flights between both countries.
According to the Iranian Fars News Agency, Enayati said that this is defined as communication of nationals under the framework of relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia.
Enayati added “an Iranian delegation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has completed its preparations to go to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at the end of the week.”
“We held preliminary consultations with Saudi Arabia, and this delegation will travel in the form of two separate delegations, one of which will settle in Jeddah and the other in Riyadh, and, God willing, preparations will be made for the reopening of the Iranian embassy in Riyadh and the general consulate in Jeddah,” he explained.
