Investigators locate electric circuit used in Alex bombing

The electronic circuit used in the bombing of the Alexandria church, which left 23 people dead and dozens injured, was located by security authorities near the remains of a decapitated head found on the roof of the attacked church, said security sources.

The sources confirmed a close link between the unidentified head and the bombing.

Security authorities continued their efforts to uncover new details surrounding the attack. Investigators recently ended an investigation into those renting apartments in the area during the past three months, as well as an interrogation of a large number of defendants in other cases, to determine whether they were involved in the attack.

Sources told Al-Masry Al-Youm that security authorities received information identifying the attackers and indicating that foreign entities were involved in the attack.

Former director of the Forensic Medical Authority Dr. Fakhri Saleh said that uncovering body remains ten days after the explosion indicates a lack of thoroughness during the initial crime scene investigation. He added that moving forward, experts must mark the places where the remains were found and verify whether they were there since the explosion or planted there after the attack.
