Interpol places Qaradawi, Ghoneim among others on its watchlists

Interpol has decided to place 42 Muslim Brotherhood figures on its watchlists and send their names in red notices, according to Major General Magdy al-Bassiouny, former deputy interior minister.

 

In a phone call with the TV program "Sabah On" aired on the privately-owned channel ONTV, Bassiouny indicated Youssef al-Qaradawy and Wagdy Ghnoneim were on top of the figures wanted.

According to Interpol, Qaradawi is accused of inciting premeditated murder, sabotage and robbery and assisting inmates to escape prisons. Ghoneim faces charges of joining others in violence, premeditated murder, physical torturing, possessing ammunition and weapons without license.
