News websites reported on Thursday that security at Cairo International Airport suspected a bomb on board a plane heading to Turkey.
EgyptAir announced Thursday that flight 735, scheduled to take off at 13:55, was delayed after a communications officer at a European embassy in Cairo reported they had received an email claiming there was a bomb on the plane, according to Al-Ahram.
No bomb was found on board, according to a statement by the Interior Ministry Friday morning.
