The Egyptian Interior Ministry denied claims circulating on social media alleging that it had issued a decision to deport certain Egyptian citizens out of the country.
In a statement released Wednesday morning, the ministry affirmed that this is completely unfounded and baseless, indicating that they are part of a pattern of spreading false news online.
The ministry clarified that deportation orders do not apply to Egyptian citizens, in accordance with the Constitution and the law.
