The Egyptian Ministry of Interior announced on Tuesday that it has apprehended the source behind the offensive political phrase being broadcast on an advertising screen in the Faisal area of Giza.
Security services were able to identify and apprehend the perpetrator of the incident, an electronic screen technician who confessed to committing the act at the incitement of electronic committees run by elements of the fugitive terrorist Muslim Brotherhood group.
The Ministry of Interior on Monday previously denied claims spread on social media that several Sudanese people were arrested in committing offensive acts.
Legal measures are being taken against the promoters of these allegations, the ministry added.
