The Interior Ministry said that 14 police officers and 37 conscripts were injured with birdshot and live fire during the rallies and protests staged on Friday and early on Saturday.
In a statement it published on Facebook, the Interior Ministry said that two of the injured officers received shots in the head and are in critical condition.
The Health Ministry said on Saturday that 29 people were killed and 649 injured in Cairo in clashes that broke out on Friday and early on Saturday.
