The police force has restored its power when it comes to maintaining security, said Interior Minister Mohamed Ibrahim while presenting a report to the cabinet on Wednesday.
Finance Minister Momtaz al-Saeed gave a press conference after the meeting and said that Ibrahim told the attendees that thanks to the ministry's efforts many illegal weapons and 43 million Tramadol tablets had been seized.
He went on to say that Ibrahim told the meeting attendees that police had arrested a number of prison escapees as well as thousands of fugitives.
Saeed did not add any additional information about the report.
