Minister of Interior Mahmoud Tawfiq send on Sunday a cable of greetings to Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark on the occasion of Christmas.
In his cable, Tawfiq expressed his heartfelt greetings to the Pope on the occasion which, he said, reflects the spirit the coherence of the Egyptian nation’s fabric and unity.
The interior minister sent similar cables to head of Egypt’s Coptic Catholic denomination Anba Ibrahim Ishak and Head of the Evangelical Denomination Andrea Zaki.
Tawfiq also greeted all Christian officers and staff serving in the interior ministry on the same occasion, wishing Egypt more progress and prosperity.
