Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Badr Abdel Aaty said on Tuesday that several influential countries expressed full support to Egypt’s membership in the UN Security Council among the non-permanent countries
“The coming period will see more activities organized by Egypt to show it deserves the non-permanent seat through its ongoing and pivotal role in achieving the United Nations goals, especially when it comes to international peace and security,” abdel Aaty said.
Foreign Ministry resumes its efforts to drum up support toward membership in the UN Security Council for the year 2016-2017.
