The Qatari Alkass channel dropped a bombshell announcement regarding the initial approval of Egyptian football star and Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah to be transferred to the Saudi Federation in the summer transfer season.
Press reports stated that the Saudi Al-Ittihad club wanted Salah to join its team in the 2023 summer season, with a two-year contract.
Alkass revealed, in a tweet via its official Twitter account: “Egyptian international player Mohamed Salah has given the Saudi Al-Ittihad club the green light to negotiate with its English counterpart, Liverpool, so that Salah will join Al-Ittihad team during the current summer transfer season.”
Salah moved to Liverpool seven years ago from Italy’s Roma and won many titles with the Reds, especially the Champions League title.
This news comes days after Salah’s recent crisis during Liverpool-Chelsea at the opening of the first round of the English Premier League.
Salah was replaced in the 77th minute of the match with Colombian Luis Diaz, a move which frustrated Salah.
The Saudi Football Federation concluded deals in the summer 2023 season with Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kante, Jota, and Fabinho.
